SEN Teaching Assistants – Full-Time Opportunities
Location: Sutton, South London
Salary: £90-£110 per day (PAYE)
Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner)
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a highly respected specialist school in the Sutton area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and young people with a range of special educational needs.
The school caters for pupils aged 4-19 with complex learning needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and associated communication and sensory needs. Staff work collaboratively to create a nurturing, inclusive environment where every pupil is supported to achieve their full potential.
The Role:
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
- Assisting with personalised learning activities tailored to individual needs.
- Promoting communication, independence, and social development.
- Supporting pupils with personal care where required.
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver outstanding support.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children or young people with SEND, either in education, care, support work, or a related setting.
- A patient, resilient, and proactive approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
