SEND Teaching Assistant – Milton Keynes (MK8)

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Milton Keynes supporting students aged 4–19 with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and social communication difficulties.
This rewarding role involves working closely with pupils to support their learning, development, independence, and wellbeing both in and out of the classroom. The successful candidate will be confident building positive relationships and providing tailored support to meet individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with autism and social communication needs across a range of ages.
- Assist with classroom activities and personalised learning programmes.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
- Support students with personal care requirements where necessary.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a support work, care, education, or SEND setting is highly desirable.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
- Comfortable providing personal care support.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for helping young people achieve their potential.
This is a full-time position with the opportunity to move from a temporary contract to a permanent role for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
