Red 5 People Ltd
By the time many young people reach secondary school, they may disengage from education due to SEMH needs, Autism, or ADHD. Your role will be to re-engage these learners and support them back into education.
This term-time only role offers a salary scale of £23,000 – £27,000 (depending on experience), with all school holidays off and fully paid. However, 10–20 days are allocated for training and development during holiday periods.
You will support young people aged 16–24 in their homes or community settings, delivering 2–3 hour sessions focused on wellbeing, confidence-building, and learning re-engagement. You will typically have a caseload of 10-15 learners.
Your work will include:
- Discussing strategies to manage anxiety.
- Identifying barriers to learning and creating tailored solutions.
- Designing co-curricular activities to make learning more engaging (e.g., linking literacy tasks to their personal interests).
- Helping them develop skills to transition into education, training, and employment.
There may be one or two days per week of classroom-based TA support, but the role is primarily outreach-based, requiring a driver (mileage paid). In terms of outreach, you will cover Kettering, Corby, and Wellingborough.
You must have experience working with young people, such as in roles like:
- Youth Support Worker / Mentor
- Teaching Assistant / HLTA
- Tutor / Teacher
