Are you an experienced Bookkeeper with strong Sage 50 knowledge looking for a flexible, part-time remote role?
Reed Accountancy is recruiting for an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join a well-established business within the construction and plant hire sector.
This is a permanent, fully remote position offering approximately 15–20 hours per week, with flexibility required around month-end, VAT returns, year-end reporting and audit periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day bookkeeping using Sage 50
- Processing purchase and sales ledger transactions
- Reconciling supplier statements and bank accounts
- Managing online banking and payment runs
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Processing payroll and workplace pensions
- Monitoring cashflow and producing reports
- Preparing month-end journals and management information
- Preparing year-end accounts to trial balance
- Liaising with external accountants and supporting audits
About You
- Minimum 5 years' bookkeeping or finance experience
- Strong Sage 50 experience is essential
- Experience with VAT returns and HMRC compliance
- Payroll and pension administration experience
- Experience preparing month-end and year-end accounts
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Able to work independently in a remote environment
