We are looking for an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to join a leading Tier 1 consultancy in Birmingham. This is an opportunity to work across a range of major infrastructure frameworks, delivering high-quality bridge and structures projects.
Up to £48ph – £64ph (Inside IR35) / £360 – £480 per day
6 month initial contract, likely extension beyond into healthy pipeline
Start date ASAP
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support the design and assessment of highway and rail bridge structures
- Produce and review technical calculations, drawings, and reports
- Work across multiple frameworks, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to standard
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bridge Engineer within a consultancy environment
- Strong knowledge of UK design standards (e.g. DMRB, Eurocodes)
- Experience working on highways and/or rail structures
- Ability to manage workload across multiple projects
- Chartered or near Chartered status (ICE or IStructE preferred)
