Senior Manager – Air, Sea & Road Freight
Location: West Midlands (DY6)
Sector: Logistics & Supply Chain
Salary:£60,000-£85,000 (DOE) + OTE (to be clarified)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am-6:00pm
Working Pattern: Hybrid (2 days in the office)
Start Date: ASAP
The Opportunity
Our client, a growing business within the logistics and supply chain sector, is looking for an experienced Senior Manager – Air, Sea & Road Freight to establish and lead its Freight Forwarding division.
This is a unique opportunity to build a department from the ground up, working closely with senior leadership to develop operations, drive business growth, build customer relationships and recruit a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and growth of the Air, Sea & Road Freight division.
- Develop operational processes and best practices.
- Build, mentor and manage the freight forwarding team.
- Develop relationships with customers, overseas agents and suppliers.
- Drive new business opportunities and revenue growth.
- Oversee day-to-day freight forwarding operations.
- Ensure compliance with customs and import/export regulations.
- Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement.
About You
You'll have:
- Proven Air & Sea Freight forwarding experience.
- Previous management or senior leadership experience.
- Strong commercial and business development skills.
- Excellent knowledge of international freight forwarding.
- Customs and Road Freight experience (desirable).
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial approach.
