Description
- Develop and implement effective product strategies to meet business objectives.
- Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal terms and conditions.
- Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and supplier innovations.
- Collaborate with the merchandiser to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Analyse supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure service levels are met.
Profile
A successful Senior Buyer should have:
- Previous experience in womenswear, ideally jersey tops or multi-product departments.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills to manage supplier relationships effectively.
- A solid understanding of market trends and cost management strategies.
- Proficiency in procurement software and data analysis tools.
- A detail-oriented approach to ensure compliance and accuracy in procurement processes.
- The ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve business goals.
