We are looking for a creative and driven Senior Campaigns Officer to join the Corporate Communications team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering impactful, integrated campaigns that support organisational priorities, drive behaviour change, and enhance the council’s reputation.
You will collaborate with colleagues across services, elected members, and partners to plan and deliver communications that engage residents and stakeholders, while ensuring consistency in brand, tone of voice, and messaging.
Key Details:
- Contract: 3 months initially
- Location: Wembley, HA9
- Pay: £23.81 p/h PAYE – £31.35 p/h Umbrella
- Working Hours: Full time – Initially Monday to Friday – you may be required to work occasional evenings and weekends, to cover events and other activities
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Contribute to the delivery of the Corporate Communications Strategy
- Plan and deliver innovative, multi-channel campaigns that influence behaviour and achieve measurable outcomes
- Provide expert communications advice to officers, senior leaders, and elected members
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across the organisation to identify opportunities for communications support
- Write high-quality, engaging content for a range of channels, including media, social media, newsletters, and websites
- Produce multimedia content such as videos, photography, and case studies
- Monitor campaign performance, evaluate impact, and continuously improve approaches
- Manage campaign budgets effectively, ensuring value for money
- Brief and manage creative suppliers such as designers and videographers
- Support reputation management and mitigate communications risks
- Deputise for senior communications managers when required
- Participate in out-of-hours media rota and attend events, including occasional evenings and weekends
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience delivering successful communications or marketing campaigns
- Strong understanding of integrated communications, including paid, owned, and earned channels
- Excellent writing, storytelling, and content creation skills
- Experience applying behavioural science or audience insight to campaigns
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Ability to analyse performance data and demonstrate campaign impact
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities
- Knowledge of public sector communications (desirable)
- Awareness of relevant legislation, including local government publicity guidelines (desirable)

- Occasional evening and weekend work may be required
- Participation in out-of-hours media rota may be expected
- This role does not require a DBS check
