An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Compliance Specialist to join a well-established financial services organisation on a fixed-term contract. This role will offer hands-on exposure to regulatory oversight, assurance delivery, and business partnering within a highly regulated environment.

This role is an 6-month fixed term contract with a strong likelihood of extension, and a permanent employment offer for the right candidate following the initial 6 month period
Our client is a respected and long-standing financial services provider with a strong presence in the UK market. Operating within a regulated environment, the organisation is focused on maintaining high standards of governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
This is a newly created role offering the opportunity to work closely with the executive team and hold responsibility for the most high-importance compliance tasks of the organisation, offering tremendous value to the business.
Description
- Deliver the compliance oversight plan, ensuring adherence to FCA, PRA and UK GDPR requirements
- Develop and implement the annual compliance assurance and monitoring plan
- Design proportionate and effective compliance review scopes
- Produce high-quality compliance monitoring reports and track remediation actions
- Provide pragmatic advice and guidance to stakeholders on regulatory requirements
- Support the development of compliant processes, controls and procedures across the business
- Build strong relationships across the organisation to promote a robust compliance culture
Profile
- Proven experience within a compliance function in financial services
- Strong knowledge of UK regulatory frameworks, including FCA and PRA requirements
- Experience delivering compliance monitoring or assurance reviews
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret regulation and apply it in practice
- Previous certified regulatory experience would be advantageous
Job Offer
- £50,000FTE (dependent on experience)
- 6-month fixed-term contract
- Flexible and part-time working options available
- Hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days a fortnight onsite, however ideally more.
- 30 days holiday plus bank holidays and additional discretionary leave
- Employer pension contribution up to 8%
- Life assurance at 4x salary
