About the Role

This role is initially for 25 hours per week (with the potential to increase as pupil numbers grow), working 39 weeks per year (term time plus 5 training days).

Are you enthusiastic, reliable, and enjoy working as part of a team? We are looking for a Senior Cook to join a friendly and supportive school catering team.

This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy kitchen environment, takes pride in preparing healthy and nutritious meals, and wants to contribute positively to a school community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing, cooking, and serving meals
  • Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas
  • Washing up and clearing away after service
  • Ensuring compliance with food hygiene and health & safety regulations

We Are Looking For Someone Who Is:

  • Friendly, approachable, and a strong team player
  • Able to follow instructions and work to deadlines
  • Committed to high standards of cleanliness and food safety
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Experienced in a kitchen or catering environment (essential)
