An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Costs Lawyer or Senior Law Costs Draftsperson to join one of the UK's leading specialist Costs teams. Acting on behalf of a highly regarded national law firm, this role offers the chance to work on some of the most complex and high-value costs matters in England and Wales.
THE ROLE:
Joining a well-established and highly respected team, you will manage a varied caseload of complex costs matters arising from high-value personal injury, commercial litigation and group actions. Your responsibilities will include preparing Bills of Costs, Cost Budgets, Schedules of Costs, Points of Dispute and Replies, negotiating settlements and representing clients at detailed assessment hearings and Costs Case Management Hearings.
Alongside managing your own caseload, you will work closely with fee earners across the business, provide technical support to junior members of the team and play an active role in maintaining excellent client relationships.
THE CANDIDATE:
Applications are invited from experienced Costs Lawyers, Solicitors or Senior Law Costs Draftspersons with strong technical expertise across high-value and complex costs matters. You will be confident drafting all aspects of costs documentation, negotiating settlements and handling advocacy where appropriate.
Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential, together with the ability to work independently and build strong working relationships. Experience using CostsMaster would be advantageous but is not essential.
