Senior Direct Buyer Opportunity In Milton Keynes. Up To £55,000 per annum plus benefits. Hybrid
An innovative, rapidly growing and well respected brand in Milton Keynes have a requirement for a Senior Buyer to join their direct team on a permanent basis. This is a newly created role as a result of expansion and has a clear progression and development path into a leadership capacity.

What are the key responsibilities?
The Senior Direct Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing of components, materials and solutions to support a wide range of engineering projects. You will:
- Managing supplier contracts, reviews and negotiations, driving cost efficient solutions and reductions where possible
- Manage the procurement of raw materials, components and subcontractor services
- Produce KPI and operational reports to support the procurement process and departmental performance
- Partner engineering and technical teams to ensure materials are aligned with requirements and inventory control policies
- Manage supplier performance and relationships, including lead times, delivery and product quality
- Resolve any issues relating to supply and sourcing new suppliers where required
- Management of budget and departmental spend
- Ad hoc reporting and analysis when required
To be considered for the position of Senior Direct Buyer, applicants will need to:
- Have experience of working within a direct buying position within an Engineering or manufacturing environment
- Extensive experience in sourcing direct materials and demonstrate the ability to manage and maintain effective procurement processes
- Ideally holds a CIPS qualification
- Be able to demonstrate experience of building and managing business relationships with key stakeholders
- Demonstrate a high level of commercial acumen and gravitas to challenge key stakeholders across the project and engineering teams
