An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Ecologist to join a well-established, multidisciplinary environmental consultancy with an excellent reputation for delivering ecology, landscape, arboriculture, heritage and planning services across the UK. Based near Milton Keynes, this growing consultancy offers the chance for a Senior Ecologist to work on a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, renewable energy and development projects alongside experienced in-house specialists. The Senior Ecologist will play a key role in project delivery, mentoring colleagues and maintaining high technical standards. The role:
- Deliver ecological surveys, assessments and technical reports
- Manage projects from inception through to completion
- Produce EcIA, BNG and protected species documentation
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders and regulatory bodies
- Mentor junior ecologists and support business development
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Senior Ecologist or in a similar consultancy role
- Strong ecological report writing and project management skills
- Membership of CIEEM or working towards it
- Protected species licence desirable
- Full UK driving licence
- Full right to work in the UK
- Must live in or near the Milton Keynes office
- Willingness to undertake site visits and fieldwork
