Robert Walters are working with a leading FTSE-listed business based in Buckinghamshire to recruit a Senior Finance Manager into their growing finance leadership team.
This is a high-profile opportunity for an ACA-qualified finance professional who is looking to continue their career trajectory within a complex, high-performing organisation. Reporting into senior finance leadership, this role offers significant exposure across group accounting, IFRS consolidation, financial reporting, and finance transformation initiatives.
With a salary of £85,000 – £95,000 plus bonus, this position is ideal for an ambitious finance leader who is ready to take the next step in their career, broaden their strategic influence, and play a key role in shaping the future of the finance function.
The successful candidate will lead a talented team, own group-wide consolidation activities, oversee key reporting cycles, and act as a trusted finance partner to stakeholders across the organisation.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the group accounting function, delivering accurate consolidated financial reporting under IFRS.
- Own the monthly consolidation process across multiple entities, ensuring timely and high-quality reporting.
- Manage the month-end close process, including balance sheet reviews, reconciliations, journal approvals, and reporting timetables.
- Prepare statutory accounts and support half-year and year-end reporting requirements.
- Provide technical accounting expertise and act as a key point of contact for complex accounting matters.
- Lead and develop teams across Group Finance, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Drive improvements across finance processes, controls, systems, and reporting capabilities.
- Support ERP enhancement projects and wider finance transformation initiatives.
- Manage relationships with internal and external auditors, ensuring smooth and efficient audit delivery.
- Provide insight into cash flow forecasting, financial performance, and opportunities for improvement.
What you will bring:
- ACA qualification is essential with significant post-qualified experience gained within a complex finance environment.
- A clear career trajectory with ambition to progress into broader finance leadership roles.
- Strong experience across group accounting, IFRS consolidation, and financial reporting.
- Experience working within a large listed business, FTSE environment, or complex multi-entity organisation.
- Proven ability to lead and develop finance teams while delivering operational improvements.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge combined with excellent commercial awareness.
- Experience managing month-end close, statutory reporting, and audit processes.
- The ability to influence senior stakeholders and communicate complex financial information effectively.
- A proactive approach to improving processes, strengthening controls, and driving change.
