We are looking for a Senior Fund Accountant!
This role goes beyond traditional NAV production, requiring individuals who can take ownership of complex funds, challenge external counterparts, and operate in a stakeholder-facing, high-accountability position.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and oversee the end-to-end NAV production process, ensuring accuracy, completeness and timeliness
- Act as a key control point between fund administrators, custodians, and internal stakeholders
- Investigate and resolve NAV breaks and valuation discrepancies, identifying root causes
- Perform and review cash, position and pricing reconciliations across multiple systems
- Challenge external administrators on valuation outputs, pricing decisions and operational issues
- Oversee and validate corporate actions, subscriptions/redemptions and fund flows
- Support more complex valuation areas including illiquid assets, FX, derivatives or level 2/3 instruments
- Contribute to strengthening controls, governance and audit readiness
- Liaise directly with portfolio managers, investment teams and senior stakeholders
- Drive improvements in process efficiency, automation and data quality
Required Experience & Profile
- 7+years' experience in:
- Fund accounting
- NAV oversight
- Valuations
- Strong understanding of the NAV lifecycle, including pricing, cash, positions and flows
- Experience working in a buy-side or oversight environment (asset manager, hedge fund, allocator)
- Demonstrated ability to own and review complex funds, not just produce NAVs
- Proven ability to challenge external administrators and resolve issues independently
- Experience working with multiple asset classes, including exposure to more complex instruments
- Hands-on use of fund accounting systems (e.g. Geneva, SimCorp, Multifonds, Aladdin)
- Advanced Excel skills; ability to analyse, reconcile and validate financial data
- Strong communication skills with direct stakeholder interaction
