Job Title: Senior Hardware Engineer
Location: Aviemore, Scottish Highlands (Full-time, On-site)
Salary: Up to £60k (DOE)

We're partnering with an innovative technology company that designs and develops advanced electronic hardware solutions for leading organisations around the world. Due to continued growth, they're looking for a Senior Hardware Engineer to join their team.

This is a hands-on role where you'll take ownership of hardware development projects throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through to validation, production, and product release. You'll also play an important role in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the continued growth of the engineering team.

About The Role

  • Design and develop electronic hardware throughout the full product lifecycle.
  • Produce circuit designs, schematic capture and PCB layouts.
  • Develop prototypes and support product validation and testing.
  • Take designs from prototype through to manufacture.
  • Debug, fault-find and resolve hardware issues during development.
  • Work closely with manufacturing to ensure successful product handover and production.
  • Mentor and support graduate and junior engineers.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the hardware engineering team.
  • Support innovative product development in a collaborative engineering environment.

About You

  • Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • Experienced in Hardware product development.
  • Strong background in electronic circuit design and schematic capture.
  • Experience in taking products from prototype through to manufacture.
  • Highly skilled in PCB layout principles and tools
  • Understanding of hardware debugging and fault finding.
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a proactive approach to problem solving.

Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Python, FPGA development, and Compliance testing.
