We are working with a long standing award-winning, multi-disciplinary construction consultancy. They deal in Civil and Structural Engineering, Geo-Environmental works, development planning and land & Building Surveying.
Their diverse portfolio includes multi-storey residential blocks, new housing schemes, schools and commercial developments ranging from small individual projects up to multi-million-pound schemes.
The role:
- Lead design of civil engineering schemes from initial concept to detailed design. This includes designs of roads, drainage, earthworks, and other infrastructure elements. Ensure designs are technically compliant with relevant regulations, standards and best practice.
- Manage the technical aspects of multiple projects, overseeing the planning and delivery of designs. Collaborate with senior management to ensure projects are on time and to budget.
- Maintain regular communication and strong relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress and conduct surveys to inform design whilst also Resolving design issues on-site, and ensuring works are being implemented in line with design specifications
The perfect candidate will have between 5+ years of Highway Design experience and will have worked on Similar projects. Previous management experience preferred.
Requirements:
- Relevant Degree or HND qualified (or equivalent)
- Good experience and understanding of highway and drainage design.
- Very familiar with S38, S104, S185, and S98 Drainage Approvals
- Be proficient in software packages: AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroDrainage and PDS
- Fresh ideas regarding SuDS
- Willingness mentor junior Engineers
Benefits:
- Salary – £37,000 – £45,000 (Depending on experience)
