We are seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel with FCA / Insurance regulatory experience to provide expert legal and regulatory advice across a broad range of financial services and commercial matters. This is a highly visible role, partnering with senior stakeholders across the business to support both day-to-day operations and major strategic initiatives.

Description
- Draft, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of regulated and non-regulated commercial contracts, including high-value and strategically significant arrangements.
- Provide pragmatic legal advice on new products, services and business ventures, balancing regulatory requirements with commercial objectives.
- Support regulated entities on day-to-day legal matters and lead legal input on key commercial projects across B2B and B2C activities.
- Partner closely with Risk, Compliance and business teams on regulatory issues and initiatives.
- Advise on insurance distribution and wider financial services regulatory requirements, ensuring customer outcomes and regulatory obligations remain at the forefront of decision-making.
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments
Profile
- 5 PQE+ Solicitor qualified in England & Wales
- Strong experience advising FCA-regulated businesses
- Extensive experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, influencing senior stakeholders, and advising on financial services regulation including consumer credit, consumer hire, personal lending, and savings products
- Ideally bringing knowledge of insurance distribution regulation
- Ability to commute into London on a hybrid basis
