An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business. Backed by 10+ years of hands-on maintenance experience, you will play a key role within the engineering team, driving equipment reliability, supporting continuous improvement, and mentoring junior engineers.
Key Duties
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a range of plant machinery and equipment
- Provide a rapid and effective response to breakdowns, minimising downtime
- Diagnose and resolve faults across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Take ownership of more complex fault-finding and recurring issues, applying root cause analysis
- Support continuous improvement activities, including upgrades and process optimisation
- Work closely with production to ensure maximum machine performance and uptime
- Accurately log maintenance activity and ensure adherence to health & safety standards
- Contribute to improving maintenance processes, reliability, and asset performance
About You
- 10+ years' experience in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment
- Recognised engineering qualification (mechanical, electrical, or multi-skilled)
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability across multiple disciplines
- Experience dealing with complex breakdowns and recurring faults
- Proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement and reliability
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work both independently and within a team
- Flexible approach to working hours, including additional cover when required
