An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Management Accountant to join a fast-paced, high-growth logistics company operating within the logistics sector. Based in London, this listed business is experiencing significant growth through continued expansion, strategic investment, and increasing market demand.
This is a highly visible role within the finance function, offering exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to play a key role in driving financial performance, reporting excellence, and commercial decision-making during an exciting period of transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and lead the end-to-end month-end management accounting process, ensuring timely, accurate, and insightful financial reporting to support strategic decision-making across the business.
- Drive balance sheet integrity and diligence, overseeing reconciliations, controls, and review processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and proactive identification of financial risks and opportunities.
- Take full ownership of global financial reporting via Cognos delivering consolidated reporting, performance analysis, and actionable insights for senior leadership and stakeholders across multiple regions.
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of three Management Accountants, building capability, improving processes, and fostering a high-performance finance culture.
- Own the budgeting and forecasting cycles, partnering with senior stakeholders to deliver robust financial plans, challenge assumptions, and provide forward-looking analysis to support strategic growth initiatives.
- Support business growth and transformation projects, helping scale finance processes, improve controls, and enhance reporting in a dynamic listed-company environment.
About You
We are looking for a commercially minded finance professional who thrives in a fast-moving, evolving business environment.
You will ideally have:
- Fully qualified accountant status (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
- Strong management accounting and reporting experience
- Experience working within a large, complex, or listed business environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Previous people management or team leadership experience
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimisation
