Overview
A highly regarded and long-established law firm in East Hertfordshire is seeking an experienced Private Client professional to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Paralegal, Fee-Earning Paralegal, Legal Executive or QBE with strong Private Client experience who is confident in handling client instructions and drafting straightforward Wills independently.
You will work closely with a highly experienced Private Client Solicitor with over 25 years of expertise, gaining exposure to high-quality work within a supportive, friendly and well-structured department.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing your own caseload of Private Client matters with supervision
- Taking detailed client instructions and drafting straightforward Wills confidently
- Assisting with semi-complex Wills and estate planning matters
- Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Supporting with Probate and Estate Administration files
- Assisting with Trusts, tax planning and Court of Protection matters
- Providing clear, empathetic and professional client care
- Maintaining accurate file management and compliance standards
Experience & Skills Required
Essential:
- Strong experience within Private Client law
- Ability to draft straightforward Wills independently
- Confident taking client instructions and managing your own caseload
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a small, supportive team
Highly Desirable:
- Experience with semi-complex Wills
- Probate and Estate Administration
- LPAs, Trusts and Court of Protection matters
- QBE, CILEX or Senior Paralegal background
