Senior Paraplanner — HNW Wealth Management, Complex & Technical Work £50K – £60K Base + bonus and benefits + Chartered support | London (Hybrid)
Our client is a prestigious, boutique wealth management firm advising high-net-worth individuals, families, and trustees on genuinely complex financial planning. They are looking for an experienced Senior Paraplanner who wants to work on sophisticated cases — the kind of technical work that most paraplanning roles simply don't offer.
If you're the person your current team turns to when a case gets complicated, and you're ready for a firm where that expertise is properly recognised and rewarded, this opportunity deserves your attention.
Why This Role?
Roles at this technical level, with this calibre of client, rarely reach the open market. The firm's clients bring multi-layered planning needs — significant pension funds, trusts, IHT and estate planning, offshore considerations — and the Advisers treat their Paraplanners as technical partners, not support staff. Full Chartered sponsorship is on the table for those who want it.
The Opportunity
You'll work closely with a small number of senior Advisers, taking full ownership of complex cases from initial research through to final recommendation. You'll be involved in strategy discussions, invited into client meetings where appropriate, and trusted to act as the technical authority within the team — including mentoring more junior paraplanners as the team grows.
The Role
- Producing high-quality suitability reports for complex HNW cases
- Advanced technical research across pensions, investments, trusts, IHT, and tax planning
- Detailed cashflow modelling and scenario analysis for long-term strategies
- Acting as the technical reference point for Advisers and the wider planning team
- Attending client meetings alongside Advisers on complex cases
- Mentoring and quality-checking the work of junior paraplanners
- Contributing to the firm's investment and technical committees
What They're Looking For
- Significant paraplanning experience within wealth management, ideally with HNW exposure
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (essential); progress towards Chartered strongly valued
- Deep technical knowledge, particularly around pensions, trusts, and estate planning
- Confident, polished report writing on complex multi-goal cases
- Experience with cashflow modelling tools (e.g. Voyant, CashCalc)
- A proactive, intellectually curious approach — you enjoy solving technical problems
What's On Offer
- £50K – £60K base plus bonus
- Full sponsorship and study support through to Chartered status
- Genuinely complex, interesting casework with sophisticated clients
- Hybrid working and a first-class benefits package
- A respected boutique firm with an excellent reputation and low staff turnover
- Long-term progression into Technical Manager or advice-track routes for the right person
