We're recruiting on behalf of a highly successful and growing wealth management firm seeking an experienced Senior Paraplanner to become a key member of their financial planning team.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a technically strong paraplanner who enjoys working closely with Financial Advisers, producing high-quality financial planning recommendations and playing an influential role within a collaborative, professional environment. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor colleagues, oversee quality standards and become the technical "go-to" person within the team.

The Opportunity

Working alongside experienced Financial Advisers, you will provide high-level technical support across all aspects of financial planning, helping to deliver exceptional outcomes for high-net-worth clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing detailed and compliant suitability reports.
  • Researching and analysing pensions, investments, protection, retirement, tax and estate planning solutions.
  • Preparing cashflow models, investment performance reviews and financial planning reports.
  • Researching products, obtaining illustrations and carrying out detailed comparisons.
  • Supporting advisers throughout the full client journey.
  • Preparing documentation for client review meetings.
  • Assisting with complex tax calculations where required.
  • Managing complex technical queries.
  • Ensuring reports meet the highest compliance and quality standards.
  • Carrying out quality checks across the paraplanning team.
  • Monitoring case progress and managing workflow to ensure excellent client service.
  • Acting as the technical point of contact for advisers and colleagues.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior members of the paraplanning team.
  • Liaising with providers and third parties to progress complex cases efficiently.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to speak with experienced paraplanners who can demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 5 years' paraplanning experience within an Independent Financial Adviser or Wealth Management environment.
  • Level 4 Diploma qualified (or equivalent).
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, tax planning, protection and estate planning.
  • Experience using research and cashflow software such as Analytics, CashCalc, Voyant or similar.
  • Experience of pension transfers and investment planning.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of FCA regulation and financial planning legislation.
  • Exceptional report writing and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to work closely with advisers and external providers.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • A positive, proactive and collaborative approach.
