I am supporting a long-standing Leeds-based organisation is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist to support a short-term project focused on resolving historic payroll issues. This is a hands-on role requiring someone who can hit the ground running, work closely with the Payroll Manager, and confidently manage corrections, rollbacks, and system clean-up activity.
Key Responsibilities

Investigate and correct historic payroll discrepancies

Perform rollbacks, re-runs, and data corrections within SAGE 50
-
Work closely with the Payroll Manager to ensure accurate reconciliation

Review, validate, and update payroll records

Support compliance checks and audit preparation

Ensure all fixes are documented and traceable
Key Requirements

SAGE 50 – advanced user; able to navigate, troubleshoot, and correct historic data

Rollback & correction experience – essential for resolving legacy payroll errors

Ability to start immediately or on very short notice
