Senior Project Manager (Learning & Development / Programmes)
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid – 1–2 days per week in office)
Salary: £65,000
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Job summary
We are working with a well-established and fast-growing organisation within the learning and development sector who are seeking to appoint a Senior Project Manager into a newly created role as a result of continued business growth.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a small, collaborative team where you will play a key role in the end-to-end delivery of large-scale learning and development programmes for high-profile clients and stakeholders.
You will be responsible for ensuring programmes are delivered on time, to a high standard, and in line with client expectations, while managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of large-scale learning & development programmes
- Develop, manage, and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and delivery timelines
- Work closely with Account Managers to ensure seamless client delivery
- Take ownership of key client accounts and stakeholder relationships where required
- Monitor project progress, risks, issues, and key milestones using internal systems
- Ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency across all programme outputs
- Produce clear and timely reporting, updates, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders
- Support the continuous improvement of project delivery processes and ways of working
- Occasional travel within the UK (approximately once per month) with very occasional international travel
About you
- Proven experience in project or programme management within a client-facing environment
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Confident working across cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities
- Experience within learning & development, training, professional services, healthcare, pharma or similar sectors would be advantageous
- Project management qualification (PRINCE2, PMP, Agile) desirable but not essential

- Hybrid working model: Birmingham office 1–2 days per week
- Must be available in the office every Thursday for a weekly team meeting
