A leading main contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a flagship project in the heart of West Central London. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of the commercial delivery of a landmark scheme, backed by a secured pipeline of work through to 2030.
You will play a pivotal role on a high-profile Central London development, working alongside an established senior team and reporting directly to the Commercial Manager. The scheme combines technical complexity with genuine architectural ambition – the kind of project that stands out on a CV.
THE ROLE
- Full commercial responsibility for allocated packages from procurement through to final account.
- Prepare, negotiate and agree subcontract orders, valuations, variations and final accounts.
- Manage cost reporting, CVRs and cash flow forecasting.
- Support and mentor Assistant and Intermediate QSs within the team.
- Work closely with the project delivery team to protect margin and drive value.
THE CANDIDATE
- Proven track record as a Senior QS with a UK main contractor or Tier 1,2 or 3 subcontractor.
- You may have a Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
- MRICS desirable but not essential — commercial acumen and delivery come first.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Right to work in the UK (essential).
