Our client, an established interdealer broker, has retained us to identify an experienced equity derivatives salesperson to develop and own its buy-side franchise.
This is an entrepreneurial mandate for someone who has spent their career within investment banks cultivating the trust of the buyside and is now ready to own those relationships directly. Our client already holds strong relationships across the sellside, which price dealer markets; what completes the picture is the buyside flow. The successful candidate will bring that flow and, in doing so, build a business of their own on an existing and supportive platform.
Profile sought
- A track record in equity derivatives sales within an investment bank
- A genuine buyside network, with the standing and relationships to bring flow
- An entrepreneurial outlook and the appetite to build
- Any exposure to Scandinavian/ Polish/ Hungarian/ German markets is a plus.
The opportunity
- Considerable flexibility, autonomy, and upside
- The infrastructure and dealer access of an established sellside franchise, with the latitude to build independently on top of it
- Wide discretion to grow the business with minimal interference
This is a confidential search; we would be glad to discuss the mandate in more detail on a discreet basis.
