Senior Associate – Professional Indemnity

Join our Client's National Professional Indemnity team, a group of experts spread across UK offices, handling a diverse range of professional liability matters mainly for lawyers. This role offers the opportunity to work within one of the market-leading practices for insurance and professional risk, managing a caseload involving claims against various professionals and advising on complex regulatory and coverage issues.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage a diverse caseload involving claims against professionals such as solicitors, accountants, financial advisers, construction consultants, and brokers.
- Handle complex, multi-party disputes—both litigated and pre-action—alongside policy coverage issues and advisory work for major insurers, and corporate clients.
- Run files independently while also contributing to larger, strategically important matters under partner guidance.
- Engage in regulatory/disciplinary matters and provide coverage advice, identifying key trigger points for insurance protection.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in handling coverage disputes and advisory matters in the financial, professional, and management lines space.
- Strong knowledge of the FCA-regulated space and FOS procedures with experience in financial lines and coverage matters.
- Excellent technical legal skills including drafting, strategy management, and the ability to manage and prioritise a full and varied caseload.
- Connections within the insurance market and a developing network of contacts and potential clients..
