A global investment firm with diverse capabilities across all major asset classes and markets, is looking to add a Senior Product Development Manager to its UK team.
This role will play a pivotal role in helping drive the Product Change and Development agenda within the UK market. You will be responsible for leading product innovation and change across existing fund ranges, as well as the design and launch of new investment products, working closely with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver strong client outcomes and commercial success.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead the research, design, development, and launch of new funds and products for the UK market
- Ensure product design aligns with target market needs and client segments
- Develop product proposals, business cases, and presentations for governance committees and boards
- Oversee a range of predominantly UK-domiciled pooled investment funds throughout their lifecycle, ensuring:
- Regulatory compliance
- Operational readiness
- Clear and positive client outcomes
- Drive product change initiatives, including updates to:
- Investment objectives and policies
- Fees and charges
- Fund closures and mergers
- Lead cross-functional working groups on complex initiatives, ensuring delivery to time and budget
- Monitor and respond to regulatory and industry developments impacting product design and features
- Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on product features, regulatory considerations, and change activity
- Contribute to product governance forums, ensuring clear communication of the product change agenda
- Participate in key committees and working groups, maintaining a strong focus on consumer outcomes and regulatory requirements
- Coach and support junior team members, providing guidance on product development and change initiatives
- Deputise for senior leadership in relevant forums where required
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in product management and development within asset management
- Strong knowledge of the UK regulatory environment, including UCITS, Non-UCITS, and AIFM frameworks
- A deep understanding of the full product lifecycle, from design and launch through to ongoing management
- Experience delivering regulatory change initiatives
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives
- A highly analytical and numerate mindset, with experience preparing business cases and board-level proposals
- Knowledge of sustainable and responsible investment frameworks, including FCA Sustainability Disclosure Requirements (SDR) and/or European SFDR is desirable
- Familiarity with pension, life, or investment trust products and wrappers would be advantageous
