SEO Lead / Head of SEO / SEO Manager –
- Migration Project
- £400-450 pay outside IR35
- Fully remote
This role will focus on providing technical expertise as we migrate from Optimizely to Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), ensuring that all technical elements, key page templates and associated functionality align with both business requirements and SEO best practices.
Working closely with project stakeholders, content editors and technical teams, the SEO Lead will be responsible for minimising risks associated with platform migrations such as loss of traffic, rankings, and revenue.]
Core focus:
- Benchmark current site performance (e.g. page speed, SEO metrics) and document baseline metrics for post-migration comparison.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance during the build phase, including answering technical and strategic questions.
- Conduct a full technical and SEO audit of the staging site to identify, document, and track issues, validate fixes, and confirm readiness for go-live.
- Content migration oversight, ensuring SEO best practices are maintained during content transfer
- Monitor site performance and SEO impact immediately after launch, including traffic, rankings, and crawl errors
Skills and experience;
- Deep understanding of Technical SEO, including crawlability, indexability, site architecture, canonicalization, structured data, and Core Web Vitals
- Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform knowledge, with experience managing SEO considerations within AEM environments
- Pre-launch auditing expertise, including identifying issues, validating fixes, and ensuring readiness for go-live
- Performance benchmarking, with the ability to assess and compare pre and post migration metrics (e.g. page speed, rankings, traffic, Core Web Vitals)
- Proven experience in website migrations, including risk mitigation and SEO preservation during platform transitions
- Cross-functional collaboration, working effectively with developers, designers, and content teams to implement SEO best practices
