Service Engineer
We are recruiting for a Service Engineer to join a well-established manufacturer of CNC machine tools. This is a field-based role covering customer sites across the UK, carrying out maintenance, servicing and repairs on a range of CNC equipment. If you have experience with machine tools and enjoy working directly with customers, this is an excellent opportunity to join a respected engineering business.
What You Will Do
- Carry out planned maintenance on CNC machine tools.
- Travel to customer sites across the UK to service, diagnose and repair equipment.
- Fault find and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to minimise downtime.
- Provide technical support on machine controls, including Fanuc, Siemens and Heidenhain.
- Attend product training to stay up to date with new machines and technologies.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
What You Will Bring
- HNC in Engineering or equivalent, ideally supported by a recognised apprenticeship.
- At least three years' experience maintaining CNC machine tools.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
- Experience with Fanuc, Siemens and/or Heidenhain controls.
- Good communication skills and confidence using PCs, mobile devices and standard IT systems.
