We are looking for an experienced Service Locator to join a busy project in Plymouth.
- Monday to Friday
- 08:00 – 17:00 (42.5 hrs/week)
- August Start
- 12 months plus
Your new role
You'll be working on a live construction site, locating underground services before digging starts. This includes scanning, marking out services, and making sure teams work safely around them.
What you'll be doing:
- Locating and marking underground services (CAT & Genny / GPR)
- Issuing and managing permits to dig
- Briefing site teams on service locations
- Making sure work is carried out safely and to permit rules
- Keeping markings and records up to date
What you'll need to succeed
- CSCS card
- BPSS Clearance required
- Experience in utility locating (minimum 2+ years ideal)
- Knowledge of CAT & Genny / GPR equipment
- Understanding of safe digging practices (HSG47)
- Good communication on site
Other requirements:
- Must be eligible for security clearance (5 years UK residency + valid passport)
