An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced sewing machinist to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Milton Keynes. This is a full-time, permanent role offering a supportive working environment, overtime opportunities, and long-term career stability.
The successful candidate will have experience with industrial sewing machinery and a strong focus on quality, productivity, and teamwork.
The Role: As a sewing machinist, you will be responsible for carrying out production sewing tasks efficiently and accurately, ensuring all work meets company quality standards and production KPI’s.
You will play an important part in maintaining production output, supporting continuous improvement, and helping to ensure customer orders are completed on time, every time.
Responsibilities
- Carry out production sewing tasks to agreed KPI targets
- Operate industrial sewing machinery safely and effectively
- Maintain high quality standards throughout production
- Report any productivity or machinery issues to management promptly
- Assist with production planning and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support stock checks and general factory operations when required
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and 5S standards
- Carry out daily equipment checks and report maintenance needs
- Follow all Health & Safety procedures and PPE requirements
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments
Requirements Essential:
- Previous production/manufacturing experience
- Experience using industrial sewing machines
- Close attention to detail and accuracy
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Location: Milton Keynes (site-based role)
