An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Site Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business. This vacancy has become available due to an internal promotion, reflecting the company's commitment to developing and progressing its employees.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving plant reliability, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and maximise production efficiency.
This is a predominantly mechanical role (around 90%), so we're looking for someone with a strong mechanical engineering background. Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics is highly desirable, along with a basic understanding of fault finding on control systems. You'll be involved in maintaining and repairing a wide range of manufacturing equipment, ensuring the site continues to operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out reactive and planned maintenance on plant and equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
- Service, maintain and overhaul machinery
- Work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions
- Support continuous improvement and maintenance systems
- Ensure all work is completed in line with Health, Safety & Environmental standards
- Work proactively to minimise downtime and improve performance
About You
- Previous work experience in a similar maintenance role
- Strong mechanical knowledge, including hydraulics & pneumatics
- Experience with fabrication and welding is desirable
- Positive, proactive and flexible approach
Working Hours
- Rotating 3-shift pattern (days, afternoons, nights)

- " Monday to Thursday:
- Days: 6:00am – 2:00pm
- Afternoons: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
- Nights: 10:00pm – 6:00am
- " Friday (short shift):
- Days: 6:00am – 1:00pm
- Afternoons: 11:00am – 6:00pm
- Nights: 6:00pm – 12:00am
40 hours per week
