The Opportunity
Are you an experienced site leader ready to spearhead critical infrastructure projects across Europe?
Our client is a premier international water infrastructure specialist and a genuine end-to-end service provider operating across the UK, Ireland, and Northern Europe. With a rich 50-year history of clean technology innovation, they are a net-zero-committed industry leader. They are now seeking a high-calibre Data Centre Site Manager to oversee the mechanical and electrical (M&E) delivery of flagship water treatment projects throughout Europe.
Based initially at their head office in Mallow, Co. Cork, this role offers an exciting international scope, including extended travel to oversee sophisticated installations in Finland and mainland Europe. You will champion the installation and commissioning of specialist water treatment systems, coordinating seamlessly with sub-contractors and internal resources to ensure world-class project delivery.

Key Responsibilities
As a vital link between the site and the project management team, you will drive operational excellence across several key areas:
- Site Installation & Commissioning: Oversee the installation of specialist water treatment plants, associated pipework, instrumentation, control panels, and automation systems. Lead the commissioning and testing phases to guarantee flawless system functionality.
- Leadership & Subcontractor Management: Supervise and mentor mechanical and electrical subcontractors and internal teams. Foster a collaborative, highly productive work environment on-site.
- Stakeholder & Risk Management: Act as a key point of contact for clients and sub-contractors, managing relationships proactively. Identify project risks early, implement mitigation strategies, and collaborate closely with the Project Manager to prevent delays.
- Health, Safety & Quality Assurance: Take ultimate responsibility for all site HSQE requirements. Prepare RAMS, lead site inductions, conduct toolbox talks, and implement Safe Plans of Action (SPA) to maintain a zero-harm environment.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain precise records of installations, inspections, and testing. Review construction programmes and compile comprehensive monthly progress reports for the Project Manager.
What You Will Bring
To excel in this fast-paced, international environment, you will have:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years' proven experience in site supervision or management within a heavy industrial or engineering environment.
- Technical Background: A solid M&E or process water engineering background, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
- Technical Literacy: Proficiency in reading complex drawings, including General Arrangements, P&IDs, and electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLDs).
- Skills: Strong decision-making capability, exceptional problem-solving skills, and top-tier client relationship management.
- Tools & Logistics: Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems, a full driving licence, and the flexibility to travel internationally as required.
- Experience within the data centre or mission-critical industry is highly advantageous.
