Reed
Our client, Solihull Council, is seeking several Advanced Practitioners for its Family Help teams.
This post will last 3-4 months initially paid at £33.30.
Please let me know if you are interested? Or can you refer a friend for £300 if placed?
The role will involve the following:
- Workers are on duty every 8 weeks.
- They are expected in the office one day per week when they are not on duty.
- Solihull is progressing its social care reforms and we are recruiting Senior Social Workers to join our new Family Help Teams.
- Our eight teams each include 5 Social Workers, 3 Family Support Workers, 2 Advanced Practitioners and a Team Manager.
- A separate Court Team manages all public and private law work.
- Family Help Teams support children requiring assessments, Child in Need, Early Help or Child Protection plans.
- We maintain caseloads of 16–20 children, and have stayed committed to low caseloads over the past year.
- This is why agency workers rarely leave Solihull — and often return.
- Social workers tell us they come back for the manageable workloads, strong support and the ability to deliver high-quality intervention.
Requirements of the role:
- Qualified Social Worker
- Fully Social Work England registered
- 3 years post-qualified experience in employment of a local authority (DFE rules)
- Must have a strong background in children’s social care including CIN and CP work
- Have experience of delivering meaningful direct work
- Can drive progress and contribute to a developing service
Please contact me asap to discuss in more detail. We are offering £250 joining bonus for new starters with Reed.
Alternatively, we are offering £300 if you refer a friend or colleague and they are placed successfully into this or any other QSW role.
