Our client, Leicestershire County Council, is seeking an agency social worker for its Cognitive & Physical Disabilities team.
This is mainly working with Older Adults and covering the Charnwood/Loughborough area.
Pay rate £34 umbrella.
You will usually attend the office for your duty day, otherwise you can work from home when not attending visits and meetings in the local area.
The role will involve the following:
- The team provides support for older people with eligible needs related to frailty and cognitive disabilities, arising from long term conditions such as Dementia, Stroke, Parkinson’s Disease and Brain Injury, as well as adults over the age of 18 with physical disabilities.
- Undertaking Care Act assessments and support planning
- Undertaking Safeguarding enquiries
- Dealing with complex situations with people and families
- Undertaking Mental capacity assessments
- Best interests decisions
- Continuing healthcare
- Taking part in duty rota
- Court of Protection work may be involved

Requirements of the role:
- Qualified Social Worker
- Fully Social Work England registered
- Must have significant post-qualified experience in adult social care
- Must have an extensive background working with older adults and cognitive/physical disability cases
