Project Manager – Utility Scale Solar & BESS
Salary: Up to £75k Per Annum
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly growing organisation and play a key role in delivering large-scale renewable energy infrastructure projects from inception through to completion.
You will oversee EPC activities, design, manufacturing, installation, and commissioning while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Solar PV and BESS projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Develop project plans, technical requirements, schedules, and delivery strategies.
- Coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and external stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets, resources, risks, and programme milestones.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Maintain strong client relationships and provide regular project updates.
- Ensure all project documentation, approvals, and records are maintained.
- Drive high standards of quality, health & safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and business growth.
Essential
- Previous Project Management experience within utility-scale Solar PV and/or BESS projects.
- Strong electrical engineering background.
- Experience managing EPC and construction activities.
- Ability to review technical drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proven experience managing project budgets, timelines, and resources.
- Strong understanding of health & safety legislation and industry standards.
Desirable
- HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- SMSTS, IOSH, CDM or similar industry certifications.
- Experience delivering substation, E-House, or renewable energy infrastructure projects.
