We are currently recruiting for an experienced Childcare Solicitor to join a busy Local Authority legal team.
You will be required to take over an established caseload and hit the ground running. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Local Authority Childcare Solicitor seeking a challenging and rewarding assignment.
- £40 – £60 per hour
- 37 Hours Per Week
- 3-Month Initial Contract
- Start ASAP
- Remote Working Considered
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitor with a current Practising Certificate.
- Significant experience handling Local Authority Childcare matters.
- Able to manage a full and varied childcare caseload with minimal supervision.
- Experience undertaking advocacy and attending hearings on behalf of the Local Authority.
- Strong knowledge of public childcare law and court proceedings.
Duties:
- Manage a full caseload of childcare proceedings, including care proceedings and related matters.
- Provide high-quality legal advice to Children's Services and other stakeholders.
- Prepare legal documentation and court applications.
- Attend and conduct hearings where required.
- Liaise with social workers, Counsel, courts and external agencies.
- Ensure all cases are progressed efficiently and in accordance with statutory deadlines.
This role would suit an experienced Local Authority Childcare Solicitor who can quickly integrate into an established team and manage a demanding caseload from day one.
