Sonar Training Instructor

Our client, a leader in the defence training sector, is currently seeking a Sonar Training Instructor to join their team at Fareham, Portsmouth. This permanent role requires expertise in sonar maintenance, contributing to the agile capability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering training in the maintenance of Sonar systems as part of the Weapon Engineering (WE) Capability Training Unit.
  • Utilising performance data and insights to drive continuous improvement across WE training, including internal and third-party evaluations.
  • Identifying and sharing best practices to inform quality and improvement initiatives across training establishments.
  • Implementing consistent systems and processes to harmonise training delivery across other locations.
  • Ensuring KPIs and SLAs are met, while supporting personalised learning journeys and representing WE Training needs to delivery teams.

Job Requirements:

Essential Skills/Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience of working on/maintaining modern Sonar Systems.

Desirable Skills/Experience/Qualifications

  • Experience of maintenance of Sonar systems.
  • Level 4 teaching certificate or equivalent (internal training course enrolment if not held).
  • Experience with military weapon engineering sensor systems or equivalent.
  • Experience in managing and maintaining WE sensors equipment.
