We are working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive school in the Winchester area who are looking to appoint a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting students with additional needs to play a key role in helping young people reach their full potential.
The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with students who require additional support, helping them to access the curriculum and thrive both academically and personally. You’ll be part of a nurturing team focused on creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with SEN
- Assist in delivering tailored learning plans
- Support students with autism, ADHD, SEMH or other additional needs
- Work closely with teaching staff and the SENCo
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement in lessons
- Help create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment
About You
- Previous experience working with SEN is essential
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive and positive attitude
- A genuine passion for supporting young people
