Job Title: Sports Centre Duty Officer
Location: Worksop
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full-time, rota basis (including early mornings, evenings, and weekends)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £25,456 per annum
About the Role
The successful candidate will:
Take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the Sports Centre whilst on duty
Deliver excellent customer service to all users of the facility
Supervise staff and act as Duty Officer and key holder
Manage bookings, memberships, and customer enquiries
Support the setup and takedown of sports equipment and activities
Ensure high standards of health & safety, cleanliness, and presentation
Act as First Aider and Fire Marshal when required
Support income generation through memberships and activities
Requirements
Experience working in a leisure, fitness, or sports environment
Previous supervisory or team leader experience
Good understanding of health & safety procedures
Level 2 Gym Instructor (or similar) desirable
First Aid at Work qualification (or willingness to obtain)
Reliable, proactive, and able to work flexibly on a rota basis
