A SteelOperative /Overhead Crane Operator is required for a steel processing company based in the Dudley area of the West Midlands.
It's a great opportunity to join a well-established, reputable steel company during a period of growth, working on a temp to perm basis. You will be operating overhead cranes, driving FLTs, banding up coils and more.
Duties include:
- Operating overhead cranes to handle steel
- Driving counterbalance FLTs
- Assisting with loading / offloading steel on machine lines
- Banding, packing and palletising stock
You won't need an Overhead Crane licence, but experience of operating overhead cranes to handle steel is required.
This position is working mornings and afternoons, rotating weekly;
- Mornings: 6:00am – 2:00pm (Mon to Fri)
- Afternoons: 2:00pm – 10:00am (Mon to Thurs) / 10:00am – 6:00pm (Fri)
- 40 hours per week with paid breaks
- Paying £12.21 on both shifts to begin with
