This is a great opportunity for you to become a Stock Manager at our Brakes Depot in Park Royal. We are looking for someone who is keen to progress their career into a leadership role. You will be working within one of the largest stock distribution sites across the region, overcoming daily challenges to support the wider team achieve operational business targets.
This is a busy role, and no 2 days will be the same! As Stock Manager you will work closely with the wider teams across the Depot to ensure that we avoid any shortages of goods to our customers. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the team of on site Stock Controllers accurately conduct and record full stock counts in the warehouse on a daily basis. We will rely upon you to lead by example to capturing information onto Microsoft excel spreadsheets and our inhouse SAP system to produce reports to minimise any stock variances as part of quality control and waste management escalating issues that may arise in order to provide a swift resolution to any issues which may occur.
We are keen to welcome Stock Manager who can effectively communicate with senior leadership and adapt approach to coach and mentor other colleagues. It would be of advantage to have already been in either stock controller or team leader role before, however don’t worry we can provide training in any areas where needed. It is essential that you are confident on a computer as a large proportion of the role requires you to working on spreadsheets and data capture for KPI reporting so you must be accurate – having previous working knowledge of both SAP and Microsoft Excel would be advantageous. As well as basic numeracy and literacy you’ll need strong attention to detail and be able to meet tight deadlines whilst remaining calm under pressure. We will need you to adapt to new systems and procedures easily with a reliable and flexible “Can do” attitude.
