I’m currently partnering with a growing and forward-thinking business based in Ipswich to recruit an experienced Stock Controller. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation operating within a dynamic and project-driven environment, where stock accuracy and operational efficiency are key to ongoing success.
The Opportunity
As Stock Controller, you’ll play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, ensuring stock accuracy, and supporting the smooth running of the wider operations team. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys taking ownership of processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate stock records across all systems
- Carry out regular stock counts, audits, and reconciliations
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in stock levels
- Monitor stock movements including goods in/out and internal transfers
- Work closely with warehouse, procurement, and operations teams
- Identify opportunities to improve stock control procedures and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with company processes and health & safety standards
- Support reporting requirements, including stock valuation and usage analysis
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a Stock Controller / Inventory Controller / Warehouse Administration role
- Strong knowledge of stock management systems (ERP/WMS experience highly desirable)
- High attention to detail with a methodical approach
- Confident using Excel and handling data/reporting
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
- Proactive mindset with a problem-solving approach
