Street Scene Supervisor

- Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (minimum 3 months, with potential rolling extensions)
- Salary: Up to £30 per hour PAYE
We are seeking a Street Scene Supervisor to provide essential leadership and operational support across various teams in Doncaster. This role is crucial for maintaining operational activities, with a focus on organisational and communication skills. The position involves working from two depots (Northbridge and Cantley) and requires a high level of visibility and flexibility.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide day-to-day direction and support to operational teams.
- Address operational issues promptly and efficiently.
- Ensure work requirements and standards are met consistently.
- Liaise with the operations management team to align strategies and operational activities.
- Maintain a strong presence on-site, including frequent visits to depots and field locations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Prior management and leadership experience, ideally with a Level 5 qualification in a relevant field.
- Experience working with operational teams, preferably in cleansing and grounds maintenance.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and lead teams effectively.
- Full driving licence required with the ability to travel across Doncaster. Access to pool cars or vans is available, subject to a mandatory driving assessment.
Operational Details:
- Work patterns include various shifts from Monday to Friday, with flexible start and finish times. No weekend work is required except for managing a small skeleton crew when necessary.
- Limited HR duties, primarily handling frontline staffing tasks such as granting leave and managing sickness, with support from HR for complex issues.
