Street Scene Supervisor
- Pay Rate: £15.43 per hour PAYE or £20.00 per hour Umbrella
- Location: Doncaster Council, Doncaster, DN5
- Job Type: Full-time, Temporary (2 – 3 months)
Doncaster Council are looking for two Street Scene Supervisors to join our team at the North Bridge Depot. This role is crucial for providing leadership and support to operational teams, ensuring that street scene services are delivered efficiently and effectively. This temporary position is ideal for individuals with strong organisational and communication skills, who thrive in a dynamic environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Provide day-to-day direction and support to operational teams, ensuring that work requirements and operational issues are addressed promptly.
- Liaise with the operations management team to maintain frontline operational activities.
- Coordinate and manage multi-disciplinary teams across a range of Street Scene services.
- Ensure all operations comply with health and safety regulations and council policies.
- Conduct site safety inspections and manage data recording processes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, providing specialist advice and timely communication.
- Explore and implement continuous improvement opportunities in service delivery.
- Participate in the council's standby arrangements, including emergency response.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Prior management and leadership experience, ideally with a Level 5 qualification in a relevant field.
- Experience working with operational teams, preferably in cleansing and grounds maintenance.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive continuous improvement.
- Valid Full UK Driving Licence with the ability to travel across Doncaster (access to pool cars/vans available).
- Flexibility to work from multiple depots and in the field.
