- Pay rate: £13.45 per hour (PAYE)
- Location: Reading, RG2
- Contract duration: 6-month contract (until end of the year)
- Working Hours: 37 hours per week
- Flexible Start times: 05:30 / 07:30 / 11:00 / 12:00
- Working Mode: On-site role
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out street cleansing and environmental duties
- Operate a range of powered machinery and mechanical sweepers
- Perform basic maintenance and checks on equipment
- Work to set schedules to meet service standards
- Follow all health & safety procedures at all times
- Wear provided PPE and uniform
- Maintain cleanliness across public highways and spaces
- Engage positively with members of the public
- Report hazards, damage, or incidents
Requirements:
- Full, valid driving licence
- Experience in manual or outdoor work preferred
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role
- Comfortable using machinery (or willing to learn)
- Good awareness of health & safety
- Reliable with a strong team ethic
Additional Information:
- Must provide own safety shoes
- Full uniform and PPE provided
- Flexibility required to cover different shift start times
