Location: London (office-based)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Salary: Up to £37,000 + package

The Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Streetwork Coordinator to join a growing highways contractor based in London. Working within a busy and supportive team, you will play a key role in ensuring all works are fully compliant with relevant permitting regulations.

You will be responsible for managing permits from application through to completion, enabling works to progress safely, legally, and in line with agreed timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and track permit applications, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements and deadlines
  • Raise, coordinate, and close works notices accurately and within required timescales
  • Monitor permit durations and arrange extensions where necessary to keep works on programme
  • Liaise with Project Managers and Supervisors to coordinate road space bookings effectively
  • Maintain accurate permitting records and trackers using Excel and Microsoft Teams
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Local Authorities and key stakeholders
  • Coordinate with third parties for: Bus stop suspensions, Parking suspensions, Temporary Traffic Orders (TTOs), TMAN applications
  • Monitor reinstatement inspections and proactively resolve issues relating to Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs)
  • Prepare and report on monthly KPI data

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a similar permitting or streetworks coordination role (highways or utilities preferred)
  • Strong understanding of permit durations, extensions, and FPNs
  • Confident Excel skills with the ability to analyse and report on data
  • Experience with systems such as Confirm, Symology, Causeway, Mayrise, or Street Manager (desirable)
