Structural CAD Technician – Cardiff
An established and growing structural engineering consultancy in Cardiff is seeking a Structural CAD Technician to join its busy and expanding team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Structural CAD Technician looking to work on a diverse range of projects within a supportive and professional environment.
The Role
As a Structural CAD Technician, you will be responsible for producing accurate structural drawings and technical detailing for projects across the residential, commercial, industrial, education, and healthcare sectors.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing structural drawings using AutoCAD.
- Producing general arrangement, reinforcement, and steelwork detailing drawings.
- Working closely with structural engineers and project teams throughout the design process.
- Assisting with drawing revisions and project coordination.
- Ensuring drawings are produced to company and industry standards.
The Candidate
The successful Structural CAD Technician will possess:
- Previous experience within a structural engineering consultancy.
- Strong AutoCAD skills and a good understanding of structural detailing.
- Knowledge of steel, reinforced concrete, timber, and masonry construction.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
